Open Customers and press Import customers. Nothing is saved until you have checked it.
- Copy the cells from Excel or Google Sheets, headings included, and paste them in, or press Choose a CSV file (save an .xlsx file as CSV first). Download a template shows the layout.
- Press Continue and choose what each column holds. Every customer needs a mobile number; set columns you do not need to Leave out.
- Press Check the rows. You see the new customers, those Already here, filled in, and the rows Left out, each with its reason.
- Press the import button, for example Import 120 customers. You may be asked for your password.
It reads name, mobile number, email, address, unit, postcode, city, state, service, last service date and notes.
- A customer is matched by mobile number, written the local way (012-345 6789) or with the country code.
- Customers already here only get their blank details filled in. Nothing is overwritten.
- Rows with no mobile number, a number from another country, or the same number as an earlier row are left out.
- Dates are read day first: 5/3/2026 is 5 March 2026.
- Up to 2,000 rows at a time.
With a service and its last service date, the service reminder starts by itself and the customer shows on Service due when the time comes. These reminders go by email, so include emails if you have them.
Made a mistake? Press Undo under Recent imports, which is also there when you open Import customers again. Customers the import added are removed, unless they have booked, asked for a quote, been invoiced or signed in since.
